It is a daily fight for judges to acquire the trust of society – interview with the president of the NOJ in Magyar Idők
The president of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) said in her interview published on the 8th January 2018 in Magyar Idők, that the Hungarian courts performed well and were ranked among the bests in Europe. Dr. Tünde Handó is convinced that public authorities in Hungary act impartially. 11 thousand people work at courts day for day to deserve the trust of law-abiding citizens.
The president of the NOJ talked about the challenges the judicial system was facing; the electronic communication in court procedures and the new codes of procedures effective from 1st January 2018, and their effect on both judges and clients. Furthermore the president talked about the call for application for the position of president of the Budapest-Capital Regional Court, which was declared void.
