The 7th Conference on Courts and Communication has begun

Trust building is the central topic of the International Conference on Courts and Communication, organized annually by the National Office for the Judiciary, for the seventh occasion this year.
In her solemn opening speech, Dr. Tünde Handó, President of National Office for the Judiciary, emphasized the importance of public trust in judiciary, highlighting that perhaps the most important task of judicial communication is to strengthen this trust.
Ms. Erika Besnyi opened the series of professional lectures. The prominent trainer gave a lively and entertaining presentation about the psychological aspects of trust, engaging the audience in an interactive way with great success.
Frontal presentations were continued about the communication of high-profile cases: communication of the so-called wolfpack case in Pamplona, Spain was presented by José María Ortega Martínez de Victoria, Head of Communication Office at the High Court of Justice of Castille and León. His lecture was followed by the presentation of dr. Zsófia Lele, Vice President of the Szeged Administrative and Labour Court about the communication of the “Death Truck case” in Szeged.
During rest of the day, the cultural mission of courts and internal communication will be on stage featured by prominent speakers such as Iveta Jaudzema, International Communications Officer at the Supreme Court of Latvia, and John Coughlan, Deputy Director of Communications at the Academy of European Law.
The participants are going to discuss topics of the first day in workshops on the second day of the conference.
This year's event attracted around 80 guests from 19 countries including Germany, Spain, Poland, Croatia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, many of whom are returning guests.
