Six years after the introduction of the new court administration model in 2011, dr. Csaba Virág has come out with a comprehensive analysis on the results of the new system and its performance. In his recent study published on the website of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, he concluded among other things that the reform was fundamentally successful. Besides positive changes in the last few years, emerging problems   are typically of a communicative nature, and the criticism received is not supported by facts. Judicial independence is strong, as well as the self-government of the judiciary, in this respect Hungary is ahead of other EU countries. Opinions on the overpower attributed to the President of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) have also proved to be unfounded, since less than 16 percent of the administrative leaders of the judicial organization are appointed by the President of the NOJ, who, with a few exceptions, has come to the same decision as professional judicial bodies in recent years.
