The English-language report of the President of the National Office for the Judiciary on the court system in the first half of the year 2018 is now available
Last year, a new Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Administrative Litigation and Code of Criminal Procedure entered into force and the scope of court cases to be dealt with by electronic means was also extended – recounted the English-language report of the National Office for the Judiciary on the court system in the first half of 2018.
The report provides detailed information on the courts’ results achieved in line with the strategic objectives of the President of the National Office for the Judiciary in the first half of the year 2018.
The year 2018 posed a number of challenges for the judicial system. Following preparations for the application of the new procedural codes, working groups supporting their implementation were set up last year to coordinate the uniform handling of the relevant professional and administrative tasks.
The court system achieved excellent performance in the field of electronic procedures as well. In the first half of 2018, installation works started to furnish 72 courtrooms with remote interviewing equipment. In 2018, each and every court of the country was given the possibility to use speech recognition and dictation programmes.
The judiciary also plays an important role in creating the infrastructure necessary for the courts’ work and the servicing of clients, the establishment of modern client service centres with a uniform image has thus begun.
