The best future practices in the interest of the child – this will be the subject of the international conference on the application of the revised Brussels IIA regulation, organized jointly with the Ministry of Justice, held at the Hungarian Academy of Justice, on 7-8 November.

The material scope of the regulation is of extreme importance, since it regulates the jurisdiction in marriage lawsuits and cases of parental responsibility uniformly at a European Union level. The presentations and workshops of the two-day conference will be focusing on the hearing of the child, the modification of the procedure of child abduction and the modified rules of central authority cooperation. The speakers of the conference are renowned national judges and other acknowledged professionals.

The event seeks to gather international judicial and regulatory experience, an excellent opportunity for Member States to share their practices and to cooperate.
