Representatives of another renowned institution were introduced to the digital developments of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ). On Tuesday, a delegation from the Research Institute of the National University of Public Service (NKE) arrived at the Hungarian Academy of Justice (MIA), where the Digital Court Open Day was organized for the seventh time. The event aimed to provide not only court staff, but also peer organizations and other institutions with a comprehensive view of innovation.

This time the guests were introduced to all the achievements of court electronization. An interactive presentation covered the history of forensic digitization and the NOJ’s road of development. After that, the participants were introduced to the operation of the Digital Court. They saw the way speech recognition works, which records the material of the hearing, so that the text dictated by the judge can be immediately transformed into editable text, and the time saved can be invested into something else, thus speeding up the handling of cases. In addition, attendees learned about the functioning of remote hearings and the new Judgment Support System (ITR) developed in the Digital Court Project.

There was also a strong emphasis on introducing convenience solutions that not only simplify but also speed up the procedures. In the meantime, with the Procedure Period Calculator, clients can find out the estimated time for a particular court to deliver a decision in their case.

It was also revealed at the Digital Court Open Day that, thanks to the digital innovations, anyone can handle procedures from their computers. Documents can be submitted via an electronic form through the Client Gateway, after which the Court Electronic Information and Alert System will notify those concerned by sms or e-mail of the appointment or postponement of the hearing, receipt of the expert's opinion or if an appeal has been filed.

The benefits of the Judicial Payment Portal and the E-folder, which is essentially a modern version of the paper file and provides access to documents online, were also mentioned.
During the introduction of the new systems, various questions were answered by NOJ speakers gave answers.

The success of the event is illustrated by the fact that the planned timeframe proved to be limited, and according to NKE researchers, the event was extremely impressive and effective.
