The application deadline was 23 August for those who have chosen the classical career path to become a judge, and intend to work as trainee judges. Popularity of the trainee judge’s position is clearly shown by the fact that this year all together 71 applications have been submitted. In the capital and in 11 counties, a total of 21 positions will be filled after the oral and written exams.

Applications for trainee judges’ positions are invited twice a year, in the spring and fall semesters. The recruitment procedure consists of an oral and a written exam, with the purpose of evaluating the applicants’ skills in general legal knowledge, oral expression, decision making and conflict handling capacities.
