On May 9, 2019, the General Assembly of the European Association of Judges (EAJ) in Copenhagen adopted a report condemning the Hungarian jurisdiction. The National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) turned to the President of the EAJ because of the false allegations, factual and legal errors included in the report.
The witness care and victim protection programme launched by the National Office for the Judiciary aims among others at providing witnesses summoned to court hearings with comprehensive and easily understandable information, ensuring a free-from-fear atmosphere for witness and victim testimonies and improving the conditions of questionings.
2020. július 8-án kihirdetették a bűncselekménnyel okozott kár, illetve sérelemdíj megtérítése iránt indított gyorsított perről szóló LXX. törvényt, amely egy új, különleges polgári peres eljárást vezet be. A törvény 2020. július 9-én lépett hatályba.
A strategic cooperation agreement has been concluded between the National Office for the Judiciary and the NISZ National Infocommunications Services Company Ltd. (NISZ Ltd.) with the aim of further developing the courts’ infrastructure in the field of remote interviewing and installing image and sound recording apparatus in the courtrooms. The agreement was signed by Dr. Tünde Handó, President of the National Office for the Judiciary and Ferenc Bancsics, CEO of NISZ Ltd. on 12 February 2019.
