The National Judicial Council (NJC) was held its last meeting on 10th of May.
„European justice in the face of the challenges of digital technology” a two-day Ministerial Conference on Justice was held in Strasbourg. Representatives of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe exchanged views on new opportunities for access to justice in the digital age and on the impact of digital technology on justice.
Based on the data provided by the courts, the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) prepared a summary of the developments in the first half-year of 2019. Compared to the 2011 annual analysis, the summary is completely renewed and significantly expanded.
The Conference on Alternative Dispute Resolution was hosted for the fourth time by the National Office for the Judiciary, the Central Bank of Hungary and the Financial Arbitration Board. The two-day, international event this year addressed family businesses and the subject of alternative dispute resolution.
At the request of the President of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights has applied to the Constitutional Court regarding the legality of the operation of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
Az Országos Bírói Tanács (OBT) 2014. szeptember 9-én ülést tartott, melynek elején az OBT soros elnöke köszöntette Csillikné dr. Velenczei Katalin bírónőt, akinek mandátuma 2014. július 31-én az Országos Bírósági Hivatalba történő beosztása folytán megszűnt és méltatta az OBT megalakulásától kezdve eltelt két és fél alatt végzett tevékenységét. Ezt követően átadta az Országos Bírói Tanács új tagjának a megbízó levelét és sok sikert kívánt munkájához. Dr. Csermák János, az Esztergomi Járásbíróság bírája az OBT tagjait választó 2012.
On 26 February 2019, the President of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) negotiated the question of the new judicial remuneration system with Finance Minister Mihály Varga and dr. Pál Völner, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Justice. At the meeting, Dr. Tünde Handó presented the NOJ’s proposal, which was continously developed in the course of eight months, taking into account the opinion of judges and court leaders, and was finally crystallized by the end of last year.
