Press release on the Preliminary Registration of Press Organs for Trials in Connection with Offenses Related to the Border Fence
We hereby notify the press workers that their and the public’s presence on criminal trials at, and in the building of the District Court of Szeged will only be allowed upon preliminary registration from 15 September 2015, the entry into force of Act CXL of 2015 On Amending Certain Acts Related to Mass Migration, because of the supposedly increasing number of clients and the use of courtrooms; the limited space of courtrooms; and to minimize security risk. Registration works as follows:
All trials are uploaded in the form of a table to the official webpage of the Tribunal of Szeged (www.szegeditorvenyszek.hu), where the presence of the press may be provided, indicating the day and exact time of each trial.
Only those may enter these trials, and the nearby aisles of the building as well, who have registered in advance provided their registration have been accepted. In case the registration is rejected due to the limited space of the court room, You will be notified.
Preliminary registration may be made at sajtoregisztracio@szegedit.birosag.hu.
In Your request, please indicate:
the name of the editorial team;
the name and contact details (address, email and phone number) of the contact person of the editorial;
the name of all persons intending to attend (including the photographer, cameraman) and their phone numbers;
the list of the equipment You are bringing (camera, microphone, etc.);
the exact time and date of the trial You intend to take part on.
You may register until 15.00 on the day prior to the trial. Subsequent registrations are rejected.
Without registration – considering the probable growth of the number of clients – we cannot guarantee you access to the corridors of the affected courtrooms.
Members of the press will have the opportunity to use Courtroom number 2 on the groundfloor while they're waiting for the beginning of the trials.
We kindly ask you to meet these extraordinary regulations rising from the current special situation with patience and understanding.
