On the session of 13th of May 2013, the National Council for the Judiciary listened to Mr. László Örkényi, deputy head of department's exposition of affairs on the most important characteristics of the case circulation at courts in 2013. During 2013, the total number of cases arriving to courts have increased by 3 per cent, respect to 2012. The surplus, approximately 460 000 new case arrival is due to the increasement of contravention and registry court cases. In 2013, respect to 2012, there were 181 000 new contravention and 282 000 new registry court cases.

 

The quantity of procedures belonging to the competence of judges has also increased, but in a much smaller proportion, by 2,1 per cent. According to an analysis in penal cases, it would be practical to enlarge the proportion of cases without public hearing respect to those of arraignment that are quickened, but litigous affairs. At county courts, the number of case arrival in civilistic's department has also increased inspite of the fact that the limit of the value of subject of litigation has varied from 10 to 30 million HUF for county courts and the possibility for supervision has decreased. From the society's point of view, the most important group of cases, the accomplishment of litigous affairs has overcome significantly – by more than 332 000 – the number of new case arrival.

 

The National Council for the Judiciary has considered satisfying and lawful, so the it has accepted the exposition of affairs on written warnings, disciplinary cases of judges and justice employees in 2013. The Council has also accepted the exposition on contravention and penal cases initiated against judges, that on the practice of the National Office for the Judiciary's president's in 2013 regarding the judgement of the competition of court leaders, that on the aspects of filling the free positions of judges, that on the practice of the National Office for the Judiciary's president on the announcement and judgement of free judge positions, that on the practice of the President of the Curia in 2013 regarding the judgement of competition of judge and judicial leader positions.

 

Afterwards, the National Council for the Judiciary has arranged the plan of sessions for the second semester of 2014.
