On 26 February 2019, the President of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) negotiated the question of the new judicial remuneration system with Finance Minister Mihály Varga and dr. The President of the National Office for the Judiciary ordered the modification of the period of document-quarantine by PNOJ Regulation No.71/2020 (V.13). In order to speed up handling paper documents, the storage container of incoming documents can be opened after three days, instead of seven. Document management can be continued in compliance with the epidemiological rules in force.
On May 9, 2019, the General Assembly of the European Association of Judges (EAJ) in Copenhagen adopted a report condemning the Hungarian jurisdiction. The National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) turned to the President of the EAJ because of the false allegations, factual and legal errors included in the report.
A two-day long international conference titled ‘Judicial Cooperation with Candidate and Neighboring Countries of the European Union’ was organized by the Ministry of Justice and the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) for the judicial organizations on 19-20 June 2019 in Budapest.
