On 6 May 2020, Dr. György Senyei, President of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) reported to the Parliament on the general situation and administrative activity of the courts in 2018.

At the request of the President of the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights has applied to the Constitutional Court regarding the legality of the operation of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
The National Council for the Judiciary continued its work regarding the creation of the ethical codex on its session of the 8th of April, 2014.
On its session of the 8th April, 2014 the National Council for the Judiciary discussed the operative regulations of section 1, point e) of the 103 paragraph of the Act on the Organisation and Administration of Courts that ordered to its jurisdiction the timely tasks regarding the approval of the Ethical Codex of Judges.
Pursuant to Article 25 (6) of the Fundamental Law, the National Assembly elected dr. György Barna Senyei on 10 December 2019 as President of the National Office for the Judiciary by 151 votes in favor, 12 against and 0 abstentions.
The President of the National Office for the Judiciary ordered the modification of the period of document-quarantine by PNOJ Regulation No.71/2020 (V.13). In order to speed up handling paper documents, the storage container of incoming documents can be opened after three days, instead of seven. Document management can be continued in compliance with the epidemiological rules in force.
The foundation stone of the new judicial training institution in Balatonszemes was solemnly placed. The „MIA-Balaton” can be completed by January 2021.
The National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) has created a cultured, convenient, simple, fast and secure administration environment for the satisfaction of its clients, thus Hungary has added a new chapter in the area of developments in the field of court support - emphasized dr. Árpád Répássy, vice-president of the NOJ, at the closing event of the Operational Program for Public Administration and Public Service Development (KÖFOP).
Combining traditions and modern architectural elements, creating court management functions – all these developments to court buildings are presented in the fresh special edition of the journal published by the National Office for the Judiciary (NOJ) in collaboration with Octogon.
